What makes us different?

Founded in 2014 out of mild frustration and a rather strong conviction that there had to be a better way, Rendezvous began exactly as the best things often do, with a small team, disillusioned with the endless scroll of digital dating, deciding to do what they knew best: throw a good party. Over a decade on, that instinct hasn’t changed, but everything around it has grown, more events, more age groups, a partnership with the world-class matchmakers at Maclynn, and a quietly devoted community of guests who keep coming back because, frankly, it works. We are not an app. We don’t do algorithms. What we do is put curious, stylish, interesting people in beautiful rooms together, and over a decade, we’ve built something rare: a genuine community of interesting, eligible people who believe that the best connections happen in the right room.

Barbara Brudenell-Bruce

Barbara is the host behind every Rendezvous event, bringing people together with instinct, elegance, and a genuine love of the thing itself. Known for curating beautifully considered experiences, she has a natural gift for introducing fascinating people and an instinct for who belongs together in the same room.

An entrepreneur with over 25 years of building and scaling ventures across entertainment, fashion, finance, and technology, she co-founded Fabric, the London club that defined a generation, and later launched New York-based lingerie label Spoylt, attracting an enviable A-list clientele. Alongside Rendezvous, she works in investor relations, connecting capital with the right people and cultures, a discipline not entirely unlike matchmaking, as it turns out.

Barbara has shaped Rendezvous into a discreet, thoughtfully curated space for connection, working in partnership with global matchmakers Maclynn International to offer something unique. She brings energy, emotional intelligence, and a finely tuned instinct for how people and businesses connect.
