Rendezvous London has been bringing single professionals together since 2014, not through algorithms or endless scrolling, but by putting curious, interesting people in beautiful rooms and letting the magic happen. Over a decade on, we’ve built something genuinely rare: a warm, loyal community of eligible people who keep coming back because, frankly, it works.
Who runs Rendezvous?
Rendezvous was founded and is hosted by Barbara Brudenell-Bruce, an entrepreneur, connector, and the instinct behind every event. With more than 25 years of building ventures across entertainment, fashion, finance, and technology, including co-founding Fabric, the London club that defined a generation, Barbara has an extraordinary gift for knowing who belongs in the same room. She brings warmth, energy, and a finely tuned sense of how people connect.
How is this different from a dating app?
We are not an app. We don’t do algorithms. We create the conditions for real connection: in person, in carefully curated company, in rooms that set the right tone. If you’ve grown tired of the endless scroll, you’re exactly who we had in mind.
What to expect
What kind of events do you run?
We host events across three life stages: our 30s & 40s, 40s & 50s, and 50s & 60s gatherings, ranging from lively cocktail evenings and wine tastings to intimate dinners and cultural events. Many take place at some of London’s finest private members’ clubs and venues, including 12 Hay Hill, The Other House, and 67 Pall Mall. The settings are always carefully chosen, and the guest lists thoughtfully curated.
What can I expect on the night?
An evening that feels more like meeting friends than attending a singles event. From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed by the Rendezvous team, greeted with a drink, and introduced into the room. Most guests arrive solo; some bring a platonic friend of the opposite sex. Either way, you’ll never feel out of place.
Our hosts, alongside the Maclynn team, make introductions throughout the evening, ensuring conversations flow naturally. No name badges. No awkward icebreakers. Just good people, beautiful rooms, and a warm, relaxed atmosphere.
Are there equal numbers of men and women?
Always. We take this seriously and plan carefully. Every guest list is balanced, and our guest policy helps us maintain that balance naturally. You will never walk into a room that feels off.
What’s the dress code?
Elevated after-work chic. Think polished and professional with personality: more refined than casual, less formal than cocktail attire. You want to look like yourself, just the best version.
Practicalities
Where are events held?
Across Central and West London, including Mayfair, Marylebone, Soho, Chelsea, and Belgravia. Many events take place in private members’ clubs where we have our own exclusive space within the venue. Always stylish. Always conversation-friendly.
How many people attend?
Our intimate dinners and tastings typically host 20–30 guests, while larger cocktail evenings welcome 60–80. Either way, expect a lively, well-curated crowd and a balanced mix of men and women.
What’s included in my ticket?
Your ticket covers the event itself and anything listed on the booking page, whether that’s a welcome drink, dinner, tasting, or special guest host. The essentials are always included: a beautiful setting, carefully vetted guests, and hosts who keep the atmosphere flowing from start to finish.
Can I come alone?
Absolutely. In fact, most guests do. Our team makes introductions from the moment you arrive, so you’ll feel at home within minutes.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes, provided they’re single and of the opposite sex. This helps us maintain the balance that guests value. If your friend enjoys the experience, they’re very welcome to attend future events and become part of the community.
Are tickets refundable?
Tickets are non-refundable once booked. We curate numbers carefully, so every place matters. In most cases, if you give us at least 48 hours’ notice, we can usually resell your ticket and transfer your booking.
