The Mystery of Chocolate and Whiskey

Chantal’s new venture The Chocolate Detective is dedicated to uncovering the world’s best chocolate and curating a collection. With her years of knowledge and experience, she can guide the way between the mHave you ever wanted to be in the presence of a true Chocolate Detective, well now’s your chance!  We’re delighted to be joined by Chantal Coady, best known as the founder of Rococo chocolates. Chantal’s new venture The Chocolate Detective is dedicated to uncovering the world’s best chocolate, guiding the way between the most ethical and delectable chocolate.

Leading the tasting journey from the Spirits side is Whisky Drams Founder Paul Flatts. Whisky Drams, sources rare collectable and award-winning Whiskies, Rums and Bourbons.  We will discover that it’s much harder to tell drink types apart than we think!

And to keep things interesting, it’s a blind tasting. Now we’re not going all ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ on you. We’re blindfolding the bottles, Paul’s superb idea! and you tell us what you taste. I detect there will be some widely different opinions and plenty of chatter about this wildly interesting taste pairing.

The Drams:  our blind tasting will include a World’s Best Whiskey as well as Rum, and Cognac. Three carefully selected drams to challenge your perceptions, leave you guessing, and ultimately change your mind.

Those who have been before will know how marvellous the team at 28:50 is.  We’ll have exclusive use of the Jazz Club until 8pm and you are welcome to book tables to stay for dinner and jazz.
