On October 28th, we’re taking over the Garden Room — think private bar, buzzing crowd, and just enough glamour to make you regret not having had your hair cut sooner. No bookies, but there will be plenty of odds in your favour: smart people, great drinks, and an evening designed for chance encounters (of the best kind). So dust off your best lines, sharpen your wit, and maybe place a quiet bet with yourself: that by the end of the evening, you’ll be rather glad you came.

Once upon a time, Arding & Hobbs was where South Londoners came for drapery and delight. Now, after a century, a fire, a Debenhams, and a glorious resurrection it’s The Arding Rooms: a private members’ club so handsome you’ll forget you’re technically in Clapham (or as we prefer to call it, seven minutes from Victoria).

Join us on Tuesday, 16 December as we gather in this reimagined Edwardian landmark to toast the year we’re leaving behind—its laughter, lessons, and loveliness—and to look ahead to 2026 with warmth, optimism, and excellent company.

Think soft lighting, old-world glamour, and a hint of Christmas sparkle in the air. Our network of curious, kind, and slightly brilliant humans will be there—not just to mingle, but to connect for friendship, for work, for something deliciously more.
